"Music & Play" is our rhythm class for younger children—a joyful introduction to music through singing, movement, play, and imagination.
The lessons are based on themes that weave together music and play. By singing, moving, listening, and creating together, the children get to discover music with their whole bodies and all their senses. In a natural way, they develop their sense of pitch, their sense of rhythm, their motor skills, and their ability to interact with others.
We use the instruments that all children already have—their voices and bodies—as well as drums and simple percussion instruments. The children have the opportunity to express themselves creatively, build their self-confidence, and experience the joy of making music together.
"Music & Play" provides a safe and inspiring foundation for continued musical exploration, while allowing children to experience the joy of movement, a sense of community, and creativity.
Music & Play is designed for younger children who are curious about music and want to explore the world of music through play and movement.
After the "Music & Play" program, many children choose to continue with "Flute Play" following individual instrumental lessons.

Paula is a dedicated and creative music educator with extensive experience in teaching, creative activities, and musical performances for children. With joy, warmth, and curiosity, she helps each child discover the possibilities of music and develop at their own pace.
At the Nordenfelt Music School, Paula teaches “Music & Play,” transverse flute, fife, and flute ensemble. Her teaching is characterized by playfulness, student participation, and a strong focus on the child’s development and self-esteem.
Paula studied at SMI (Stockholm Institute of Music Education), the Royal College of Music, and Stockholm University. In addition to teaching, she is active as a musician and performs, among other things, in the duo 2Friends alongside pianist Ulla Schuback.
